Cell-El Presents Breakthrough Autism Diagnostic Blood Test

Cell-El Ltd. is working on a bold step toward transforming autism diagnostics. In a recent YouTube interview with Craig Kohn of Team Autism, Cell-El’s Study Coordinator,  Leah Hochbaum, presented the company’s plans for a pioneering blood test for the early detection of Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD).  The current goal is for this test to be used in conjunction with professional psychological assessments.

A Paradigm Shift in Autism Diagnosis

Current autism diagnoses typically rely on behavioral observations, often delaying identification until a child is 2–4 years old. Cell-El’s new approach aims to use proteomic biomarkers—measurable proteins in the blood—to detect autism-related biological signals well before visible symptoms emerge.

Leah Hochbaum explains:
“What Cell-El envisions doing is something that’s a real paradigm shift, a real new way of diagnosing autism through a blood test, which looks at not genetics but rather proteins in the blood that are connected to different systems in the body. We want to be able to do this simple blood test at an early age.”

Personalized Treatment Guidance

Beyond early diagnosis, this cutting-edge test will offer insights that could help tailor individualized treatment strategies. By analyzing protein expression patterns associated with immune, neurological, and metabolic systems, Cell-El’s tool may help clinicians and families make better-informed decisions at critical developmental stages.

Help Us Help You

Better diagnostics for ASD based on laboratory-measured objective biomarkers can possibly enable researchers and clinicians to provide more precise and personalized treatment. You too can make a difference in the lives of children with ASD and their families by joining the Cell-El study. Cell-El is recruiting for two of our study cohorts. We are recruiting mothers, and their infants aged 10-18 months who have not been diagnosed with ASD but who have a sibling diagnosed with ASD. Cell-El is also recruiting children diagnosed with ASD between the ages of 2-18 years old whose parents are planning to take them privately to a clinic offering Stem Cell treatment for ASD.

Please contact Leah at [email protected] or fill out the form to find out about eligibility to participate in  our diagnostic study and please help spread the word about the Cell-El study. Sharing our study will enable our important biomarker diagnostic tool to be integrated into autism treatment as quickly as possible.
